My journey

My journey to yoga

Slovakia · age 17

Where it began

I first met yoga in Slovakia at the age of seventeen, at a time when I was losing someone very close to me.

After that first class I looked at the teacher as an extraordinary being. Through his guidance I was able, for a moment, to step away from the pain, return to the present, and feel peace. In that moment I quietly made a wish: that one day I would be able to bring people a similar feeling — presence, a quiet mind, and joy in the heart.

Tryoga · Bridget Woods Kramer

London and Bali

Yoga slowly led me to different corners of the world. During my years living in London I practised at the Tryoga studio, where I got to know professional teachers from many countries. It was there that I met my main yoga teacher, Bridget Woods Kramer, and completed my first major teacher training in Bali — my favourite place in the world.

Studying Anusara yoga, which means to flow with ease and open to life from the heart, was far more than gathering knowledge. It was a deep process of self-discovery and a gradual return to myself.

In time, people began asking me to teach them, and so a life path became my profession. Because yoga is an endless process of learning and knowing oneself, I continue my education to this day.

Yin and psychology

I completed another teacher training in London with Yoga People, combined with the study of transpersonal psychology and yin yoga.

Yin yoga taught me to slow down, to observe, to accept, and to release what no longer serves us. It teaches us to see things with perspective and to find calm even in everyday situations.

Physiotherapy · the Vojta method

A body that understands

Working with children, including children with various developmental needs, I discovered yet another dimension of yoga. It taught me to see a child not through their diagnosis, but as a whole person with their own feelings, needs and possibilities.

As a qualified physiotherapist and Vojta therapist, I see a beautiful connection between physiotherapy and yoga. Physiotherapy works with the body, its function and movement. Yoga brings another dimension — conscious movement, breath, and a deeper sense of oneself.

A year of study, meditation and silence

India

Another great chapter of my journey was India, where I spent a year studying yoga, yoga therapy, meditation and self-knowledge.

I had the chance to watch the life of young Buddhist monks, to stay in Dharamsala — the home of the Dalai Lama — and to spend time in meditation ashrams, devoting myself to silence, meditation and satsang.

India taught me to sense that everything is interconnected. I realised that when we work on ourselves, we also have a positive effect on the people our lives touch.

The greatest yoga is life itself

Life has taught me that not everything is within our control. We often receive not what we want, but what we need in order to grow. Every path, in the end, leads us closer to ourselves.

And yet the greatest yoga remains everyday life — the ability to keep calm, perspective and kindness even in ordinary moments.

The aim of my classes is a healthy, flexible and perceptive body that lets us feel, move and understand ourselves better. In my physio-yoga classes you can expect an individual approach — I bring together everything I have gathered over years of study, practice and life.

For me, yoga means flowing in the present, a connection with myself and with my heart. It is a moment of coming home — to your own body, breath and inner peace.
